Scott Valent is an energy and real estate attorney who resides in the foothills west of Golden, Colorado. Scott earned his B.S. in Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University and his J.D./LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver. Early in his legal career, Scott worked as a petroleum landman assisting several clients with the acquisition of fee leasehold interests across Colorado and Utah. After transitioning to an oil & gas attorney, Scott’s primary focus has been on drafting drilling and division order title opinions covering fee, federal and state mineral interests in the D.J. Basin of Colorado and the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. Outside of the office, Scott enjoys cycling, snowboarding and climbing the highest peaks of Colorado and the Western United States.
