Jon Tjornehoj (Turn-a-Hoy) is an attorney with over two decades of experience practicing natural resource law. He specializes in land and title examination matters pertaining to oil and gas, mining and carbon sequestration projects. He takes great pride in producing a title product that is not only thorough and precise, but one that also clearly communicates pragmatic and innovative solutions. Jon also advises clients on asset sales and acquisitions, unitization matters, and regulatory compliance.
After completing law school at the University of Wyoming, Jon began his career at a major Denver law firm litigating federal public land matters. That litigation background focused on NEPA compliance and FLPMA land planning disputes relating to energy development projects in Wyoming. Jon’s experience there later revolved around mineral asset transactions and title examination.
Jon is the author of numerous published articles pertaining to energy and mineral development. Outside of work, Jon enjoys playing guitar and mandolin with friends, and backpacking in the Rockies with his three sons.
